ครูชุ่มได้สร้างสรรค์งานศิลปหัตถกรรมเครื่องโลหะ ถมเงินถมทอง จนเป็นที่ประจักษ์และยอมรับของบรรดาช่างถมเมืองนครศรีธรรมราช ผลงานฝีมือการทำเครื่องถมของท่านทั้งรูปแบบและลวดลายล้วนเป็นที่นิยมของลูกค้า ท่านมักพัฒนาผลงานให้มีลวดลายและรูปทรงแปลกๆ ที่วิจิตรงดงามด้วยความวิริยะอุตสาหะ ทำให้ผลงานชิ้นแล้วชิ้นเล่าสร้างความประทับใจและพอใจแก่ผู้ที่มีโอกาสเป็นเจ้าของ เพราะงานเหล่านี้เป็นงานฝีมือที่ทรงคุณค่า อาจกล่าวได้ว่าตลอดระยะเวลายาวนานหลายสิบปี ท่านได้ทุ่มเทความรู้ความสามารถบรรจงสร้างงานศิลปะฝากผลงานไว้ให้เป็นที่ภาคภูมิใจของชาวนครศรีธรรมราชตลอดไป

Master Chum has created the metal handicraft, silver and gold nielloware which became recognized and accepted by nielloware craftsmen Nakhon Si Thammarat. His skills are popular in terms of forms and patterns. He always develops his work to create new patterns and different forms with great effort. Therefore, his products represent impression and satisfaction to the owners because of their value. It can be said that the master has put his effort on creating fine arts for the pride of Nakorn Sithammarat people for decades.
(Now the master is retired and stops making nielloware.)
