แรงบันดาลในการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานของผมเกิดขึ้นเมื่อชุมชนเวียงกาหลงตื่นตัวจากการขุดค้นพบวัตถุโบราณจากแหล่งเตาเผา ทำให้เกิดการซื้อขายอย่างแพร่หลายและเริ่มมีการนำเครื่องปั้นดินเผาที่ผลิตใหม่จากพื้นที่อื่นมาปลอมเป็นของเก่าทำให้ผมจากที่เดิมเคยประกอบอาชีพช่างวาดภาพเหมือน วาดภาพจิตรกรรมฝาผนังตามวัดต่างๆ เกิดความรู้สึกเสียดายและหวงแหนเครื่องปั้นดินเผาโบราณ จึงอยากจะฟื้นฟูและอนุรักษ์ศิลปะโดยเริ่มศึกษากรรมวิธีการผลิตเครื่องปั้นดินเผาอย่างจริงจัง โดยมีนักวิชาการจากมหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ และสถาบันเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลวิทยาเขตภาคพายัพได้เข้ามาแนะนำและจัดตั้งกลุ่มเครื่องเคลือบดินเผาเวียงกาหลงกลุ่มเตาลุงศรีขึ้น

“Ancient ceramics are the uniqueness of Wieng Kalong Legend”

My inspiration in creating the works occurs when the Wieng Kalong community is alert from the excavation and discovery of ancient objects from the source of furnaces causing a wide trade and the potteries from the new production sources are faked into the old ones. Therefore, I, whose previous occupation was the painter of portraits and mural painting in the temples, feel very pity and want to conserve the ancient potteries. I would like to restore and conserve the art. Consequently, I started to study the production procedures of the potteries seriously with the recommendation from the academicians from Chiang Mai University and Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna Chiang Mai and the Tao Lung Si Group of Wieng Kalong ceramics is formed.
