แรงบันดาลในการคิดงานมาจากแรกเริ่มเราตั้งกลุ่มผักตบชวาก่อน ทีนี้เราก็มาสังเกตเชือกปอที่เขาทิ้งแล้วเชือกปอที่ชาวนาเขาใช้มัดกองฟางอะไรพวกนี้ว่ามันคล้ายๆ กับผักตบชวาเราก็ลองเอามานั่งทำกระเป๋าก่อน ทำเสร็จแล้วเราก็ลองใช้ในหมู่เพื่อนๆ พอเห็นว่ามันใช้ได้ดีเราก็เลยลองขายกันเองในชุมชน ปอเฮมาจากเชือกปอ ส่วนคำว่า เฮ เป็นภาษาท้องถิ่นมาจากแห้งพวกหญ้าแห้งที่ชาวนาเขาใช้เชือกปอมามัด เมื่อเริ่มมีคนรู้จักจากการออกร้านขายกันเองในชุมชน กระทั่งเจ้าหน้าที่จากพัฒนาชุมชนเข้ามาช่วยส่งเสริมทั้งในด้านเงินทุนและวัตถุดิบ รวมถึงการออกแบบขึ้นลายต่างๆ ในที่สุดกระเป๋าสานปอเฮก็เริ่มแพร่หลายออกไป

“From the hemp to tie the straw, it becomes created to be Thai handicraft.”

The inspiration in creating work is from the start that we group the Water Hyacinth Group. Then, we notice that the farmers use the hemp string for tying the bunches of straw which is like Water Hyacinth. After that, we try to make the bags first. When we have made them completely, we use in the group. When we see that they can be used effectively, we try selling in the community. Por Hey is from the hemp string. The word “Hey” is local language derived from the dried grass which the farmers use the hemp string to tie it. The products become well-known after having sold in the community. The officials from community development come to help in supporting both in the fund and raw materials including the design of patterns. Eventually, Por Hey woven bags are widespread.
