ครูคิดว่างานแกะสลักไม้มันน่าจะเคลื่อนไหวได้เพื่อให้ดูมีชีวิตชีวาขึ้นมาและเพิ่มคุณค่าให้กับชิ้นงาน ก็เริ่มทดลองทำกลไกให้เคลื่อนไหว เช่น ด้ามกระบวยตักน้ำ เราแกะเป็นคนตำข้าว คนเลื่อยไม้ ทำกลไกให้เคลื่อนไหว ต่อมาก็เริ่มทำเป็นชิ้นงานใหญ่ขึ้น เช่น บ้านพอเพียงที่จำลองทฤษฎีเศรษฐกิจพอเพียง มีทั้งคนทำนา นวดข้าว หาปลา เป็นเรื่องราวของวิถีชีวิตที่เคลื่อนไหวได้จริง พอเริ่มทำกลไกเข้ามาคนเข้าชมก็ใช้มือหมุน เราก็เริ่มคิดว่าน่าจะเอาเครื่องมือทุ่นแรงใส่เข้าไปเพื่อให้เคลื่อนไหวได้โดยไม่ต้องใช้แรงก็เริ่มนำมอเตอร์มาติดตั้งเข้ากับชิ้นงาน ทำให้งานชิ้นใหญ่ๆ เคลื่อนไหวได้ทั้งหมด คนที่มาดูงานก็ชอบใจและทำให้งานแกะสลักไม้ของเรามีเอกลักษณ์

I think the carved wood should be mobile for being lively and increase the value to the work pieces. I begin to try making the mechanism for moving such as water dipper which we carve into the man crushing the rice and the man sewing the wood. This is the mechanism for moving. Later, the work pieces are made in bigger size such as PhorPhiang House simulating the theory of sufficiency economy. There are people doing rice farming, threshing, finding the fish. These are the stories of the movable lifestyles. With the mechanism, when a visitor comes, we use the hand to twist. However, we think of putting the labor-saving inside to make it move without using the labor. Then, we use motor to be installed with the work pieces so that the large work piece can move. The visitors also love it and make the uniqueness to our carved wood.
