เอกลักษณ์ของงานขันลงหิน คือ ความประณีตงดงามอันเป็นความโดดเด่นของช่างฝีมือทำขันลงหินบ้านบุ ตอนแรกมันคืออาชีพ พอทำไปทำมาด้วยความที่อยู่กับมันมาตั้งแต่เด็ก นี่อาจจะเป็นแรงบันดาลใจที่ทำให้งานขันลงหินนี้กลายมาเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของชีวิต ยุคที่ขันลงหินเคยเป็นที่นิยมมากผ่านไปหลายสิบปี ถึงตอนนี้เราเห็นเป็นหน้าที่ ที่จะต้องอนุรักษ์และส่งเสริม ศิลปะไทยโบราณอันนี้เอาไว้ ตอนนี้หวังเพียงว่า อยากเห็นโรงงานนี้เป็นพิพิธภัณฑ์และแหล่งเรียนรู้แก่ชนรุ่นหลังต่อไป

“Shaping is the most important process to make a bronze bowl. Craftsmen must practice for years so that they can make it good. I am quite concerned that this craft will disappear someday.”

The uniqueness of bronzecraft is fineness and skills of Baan Bu’s bronze craftsmen. Initially, it was just a profession, but it became part of my life since I have grown with it. It became my inspiration for working and earning. Though the peak time of brozecraft has passed for decades, I still see it as a duty to conserve and promote this Thai art. I hope that this factory can be a museum and learning center for new generations.
