ผมตั้งใจพัฒนาทั้งในเรื่องของลวดลายและสีสันโดยนำลายดั้งเดิมมาพัฒนาและนำเสนอในรูปแบบใหม่ๆ เช่น ลายนาคเกี้ยวโบราณที่พัฒนารูปแบบและสีสันให้ทันสมัย หรือลาย 5 มงคลที่ผสมผสานลายเข็มขัดนาค ลายประตูเงินประตูทองลายแหดักทรัพย์ ลายดอกวาสนา และลายไข่ทอง เข้าด้วยกัน ในเรื่องของสีสันผมก็คิดค้นสีใหม่และวิธีการย้อมขึ้นมา คือช่างทอดั้งเดิมเขาใช้อยู่ 5 สี พ่อสงครามก็พัฒนามาเป็น 7 สี มารุ่นผมก็เพิ่มเป็น 9 สี ซึ่งขั้นตอนต่างๆ อาจจะเพิ่มขึ้นเพราะต้องมัดย้อมถึง 9 ครั้งแต่ก็จะได้สีสันที่หลากหลายขึ้นซึ่งการพัฒนาตรงนี้ทำให้ผ้าไหมมัดหมี่ของเราได้รับความสนใจมากขึ้น

“Capped ancient pattern, inherited Mudmee silk”

I intended to develop both pattern and colorful design by developing and offering new forms such as an ancient Nakkeaw pattern which developed pattern and color to be more modernization pattern or five sacred pattern that blended snake striped belt pattern, golden and silver door pattern, money trap pattern, floral halo pattern, and gold striped eggs pattern together. In terms of color, I invented new colors and dye process. In the past, traditional weavers used only five colors, my father developed 7 colors and in my generation, I invented 9 colors where this has increased to 9 steps process. But this created variety of color, which brings attraction to Mudmee.
