คุณพ่อสอนไว้ว่าการเป็นช่างแกะสลักจะต้องเขียนลายไทยให้เป็นเสียก่อน เพราะช่างเขียนลายและช่างแกะไม้ต้องทำงานควบคู่กัน ที่สำคัญงานแกะสลักเครื่องดนตรีไทยเป็นงานที่เราต้องหมั่นฝึกฝน ต้องใช้สมาธิและความอดทนฝีมือจึงจะพัฒนา อย่างลายไทยที่ผมแกะอยู่ก็มีทั้งลายดั้งเดิมและลายที่คิดขึ้นใหม่ โดยผมจะนำลายไทยประเพณี เช่น ลายก้านขดมาต่อลายผูกลายเองเกิดเป็นลายใหม่ทำให้งานของเราแปลกและแตกต่างไปจากของคนอื่น

“Develop sculpture, conserve golden craft”

My father taught that the sculptor should be able to draw Thai pattern because sculpture and drawer are not working parallel. Thai instrument sculpture is to keep practicing, require meditation and patience to develop better skills. The striped that I am currently working on the original patterns and newly created patterns where I brought traditional patterns such as Kankod pattern to create new patterns and this has distinctive and differentiate my works from others.
