แรงบันดาลใจในการทำงานมาจากเมื่อปี 2515 ในหลวงและพระราชินี พร้อมพระเจ้าลูกเธอทั้งสองพระองค์ได้เสด็จฯ ไปทอดผ้าพระกฐินต้นและได้เสด็จพระราชดำเนินเยี่ยมราษฎร ดิฉันได้ถวายผ้าไหม 1 ผืนแก่พระองค์ท่าน ท่านทรงรับและรับสั่งว่า “ทอให้ฉันได้ไหม” และเป็นกลุ่มแรกของมูลนิธิศิลปาชีพพระองค์ทรงตั้งชื่อกลุ่มนี้ว่า “กลุ่มทอผ้าไหมกลุ่มแรกของมูลนิธิศิลปาชีพในสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์พระบรมราชินีนาถ” ด้วยความที่ต้องการสนองพระมหากรุณาธิคุณที่ทรงพระกรุณาโปรดเกล้าฯ ตั้งกลุ่มทอผ้าจึงคิดที่จะส่งภูมิปัญญานี้สู่ทุกคนทุกผู้ทุกนามที่มีความสนใจที่จะศึกษางานทอผ้าให้ได้มีความรู้เป็นวิชาทำมาหากินสืบไป

“Our woven cloth focuses on the even tones of colors and patterns of local wisdom.”

The inspiration in working is from B.E.2515, the King and the Queen together with their two royal children went to make merit and visit the people. I gave 1 piece of silk cloth to the Queen and she asked me, “Could you make this for me?” This is the first group of the Foundation For the Promotion of Supplementary Occupations. The group is named “the first silk weaving group in the Foundation For the Promotion of Supplementary Occupations of Queen Sirikit”. With the demand to respond to the royal kindness to found the cloth weaving group, the group thinks of transferring this wisdom to every person who are interested in learning about weaving to have more knowledge in earning for life.
