แรงบันดาลใจที่คิดนำมะพร้าวทุยมาแกะสลักเพราะรักงานศิลปะผ่านการเรียนในรั้วเพาะช่าง และมหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากรประกอบกับพ่อของท่านมีสวนมะพร้าวอยู่ใน จ.เพชรบุรี ความผูกพันกับผลไม้ชนิดนี้จึงมากเป็นพิเศษ เวลาเข้าไปเที่ยวสวนจะพบเห็น “มะพร้าวทุย” ถูกทิ้งขว้างไม่ได้นำไปใช้ประโยชน์การค้าเพราะมะพร้าวทุยไม่มีทั้งเนื้อและน้ำ ทำให้เกิดแนวคิดว่าอยากนำวัสดุที่คนอื่นไม่เห็นค่ามาสร้างสรรค์เป็นงานศิลปะซึ่งมีเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะตัว
