ด้วยความรักและชอบในการทำกลองเป็นชีวิตจิตใจทั้ง ๆ ที่บ้านครูเองไม่ได้ทำกลอง หากแต่อยู่ในหมู่บ้านทำกลอง อันมีชื่อเสียงของป่าโมก นี่คือแรงบันดาลใจที่ทำให้ครูสนั่น มุ่งมั่นศึกษาหาความรู้เรื่องการทำกลอง จนกลองของครูได้รับการยอมรับจากวิทยาลัยนาฏศิลป์ สำนักการสังคีต วงดนตรีปี่พาทย์ หรือแม้แต่โรงละครแห่งชาติก็ได้ติดต่อมาให้ครูทำกลองแขกให้เป็นประจำ นี่คือความภาคภูมิใจที่สุดในชีวิตคนทำกลอง ครูพยายามส่งต่อภูมิปัญญานี้ให้แก่คนที่ต้องการเข้ามาเรียนรู้ โดยคนที่มาเรียนรู้ครูก็จะบอกเทคนิคให้หมดทุกอย่าง ไม่มีการปิดบัง ถ้าอยากรู้อะไรก็จะบอกหมด เพราะถือว่าการทำกลองเป็นภูมิปัญญาชาวบ้านที่ควรค่าแก่การอนุรักษ์สืบทอดต่อไป

With love and fondness in making drums even though the Teacher’s family does not make the drums but living in the drum making village famous in Pa Mok, this inspires Teacher Sanan to be determined in studying about drum making until the Teacher’s drums are accepted by College of Dramatic Arts, Office of Performing Arts, Thai classical music. Even the National Theater, they contact the Teacher for making the double-headed drums regularly. This is the most proudness in life of the drum maker. The Teacher tries to transfer this wisdom to the people wanting to learn. For people learning, the Teacher will tell them all techniques without concealing as making the drums is the local wisdom which should be conserved forever.
