“ความสมจริงของเรือฉลอมจำลอง ที่ย่อสัดส่วน และมีทุกสิ่งที่เรือจริงมี นี่คือเอกลักษณ์ เรือฉลอมจำลองของผม”
ด้วยความที่เกิดในครอบครัวที่มีอาชีพทำการประมงที่ท่าฉลอม จึงอยากสร้างผลิตภัณฑ์ที่เป็นเอกลักษณ์และภูมิปัญญาของบ้านเกิดขึ้นมา นี่คือแรงบันดลใจที่ทำให้ผมคิดค้น และค้นคว้าอย่างจริงจังที่จะทำเรือฉลอมจำลองขึ้นมาเพื่อสร้างชื่อเสียงให้กับจังหวัดสมุทรสาคร กลุ่มของผมจะเน้นการทำเรือเสมือนจริง ต้องได้มาตรฐานตามสัดส่วนจริงของเรือ การทำนั้นไม่ยาก หากแต่ก็ไม่ง่ายเพราะเรือฉลอมจะมีทวนหัว ทวนท้ายที่สูงกว่าเรือทั่วไป เราจึงต้องใช้ความละเอียดพิถีพิถันในการทำงานเป็นอย่างมาก ครูธงชัยได้เปิดบ้านเป็นศูนย์เรียนรู้การทำเรือฉลอมจำลองเพื่อให้เยาวชนและผู้ที่สนใจได้เข้ามาศึกษาหาความรู้วิธีการทำเรือจำลอง รวมทั้งประวัติศาสตร์ของเรือฉลอมซึ่งถือว่าที่นี่เป็นแหล่งข้อมูลความรู้สำคัญอีกแห่งหนึ่ง

Products: Imitated Chalom boats
“The realism of imitated Chalom boats which are minimized and have all things found in the real boats is the uniqueness of my imitated Chalom boats.”
Being born in the family doing the fishing at Tha Chalom, I would like to create the products which are the uniqueness and wisdom of the hometown. This inspires me to invent and research seriously to make the imitated Chalom boats to bring fame to Samut Sakhon Province. My group focuses on making the imitated boats. They must be of standard with the proportion equaling to the real boats. Making the boats is not difficult but not easy too as Chalom boats have the pike head and pike end higher than general boats. Therefore, we have to use the delicacy and carefulness in working very much. Teacher Thongchai opens the house to be the learning center in making imitated Chalom boats for the youth and interested people to study how to make the imitated boats as well as the history of Chalom boats. This place is the important source for information.
