ผ้ามัดหมี่ ลายกงเจ็ดสาย ถือเป็นลายเอกลักษณ์ของงานทอผ้าของครูทองสุข ซึ่งครูเป็นผู้ที่มีใจรักในการทอผ้ามัดหมี่และชอบที่จะคิดลายใหม่ๆ ต่อยอดจากลายโบราณที่มีมาแต่ดั้งเดิม ทำให้เกิดผลงานผ้ามัดหมี่ที่งดงามทั้งสีสันและลวดลาย โดยครูได้แรงบันดาลใจมาจากสิ่งต่างๆ รอบตัว ครูกล่าวว่าถ้าเรามีใจจดจ่อกับสิ่งใด เราก็สามารถจะเอาความประทับใจ ในสิ่งที่เราได้พบเห็นมาสร้างผลงานดีๆ ได้เสมอ เหมือนกับงานผ้ามัดหมี่ของครู ซึ่งครูจะปลูกฝังความคิดนี้ให้กับลูกหลานและลูกศิษย์ที่มาเป็นผู้สืบทอดมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมและภูมิปัญญาต่อจากครูทุกคน เพื่อที่จะได้เกิดงานผ้าไหมมัดหมี่ที่มีการพัฒนาต่อยอดให้เป็นงานร่วมสมัยต่อไปอย่างไม่มีที่สิ้นสุด

Mudmee Silk of Kong Jed Sai pattern is the signature of Master Thongsuk, who has a strong passion for Mudmee Silk woven textile. He always creates new patterns by developing existing patterns. It results in colorful and complex patterned Mudmee Silk. The master is inspired by things around him. He said that if we concentrated on something, we could take those impressions to our work just like what the master does on his work. His students and descendants have been aware of this notion and inherited culture and knowledge from him to maintain the wisdom and develop contemporary Mudmee Silk.
