การทอผ้าซิ่นตีนจกนั้นผมมีคุณแม่เป็นแรงบันดาลใจ หากแต่คนลับแลไม่ให้ผู้ชายทอผ้า ผมต้องแอบทำ ปัจจุบันการทำลายผ้าจะเน้นไปที่ลายโบราณ แต่จะมีการนำลายมาประยุกต์เล็กน้อย ด้วยการเปลี่ยนสีลาย หรือเป็นการนำลายโบราณมาผสมผสานกันไปทำให้เกิดผ้าลายใหม่ขึ้นมา ลายผ้าที่โดดเด่นของลับแลจะเป็นลายหงส์ใหญ่ ลายดาวดึงส์ ที่ถือเป็นเอกลักษณ์ของผ้าซิ่นตีนจกลับแลที่มีมากว่าสองร้อยปี การถ่ายทอดองค์ความรู้นั้นส่วนมากจะสอนให้กับเด็กๆ ในหมู่บ้านมากกว่าเพราะเขาสามารถมาเรียนกับเราแบบต่อเนื่องได้ จนเขาสามารถทำเป็นโดยที่เราไม่ต้องสอน

My mother inspires me in weaving Teen Jok sarong. However, Laplae people do not permit men to weave. I have to do it secretly. Nowadays, the patterns are made focusing on ancient patterns. However, the patterns will be applied by changing the colors of the patterns or mixing the ancient patterns to create new patterns. The remarkable patterns of Laplae are Hong Yai pattern, Dowadeung pattern which is the uniqueness of Laplae Teen Jok sarong having existed for more than two hundred years. Mostly, the transfer of knowledge will be in teaching the children in the village as they can learn continually until they are able to do without being taught.
