ครูได้มาทำงานกับอาจารย์ภาวาส ท่านเป็นผู้เชี่ยวชาญเกี่ยวกับกระสวนเครื่องดนตรีไทยแทบทุกชนิด ท่านก็ได้ถ่ายทอดวิชาการทำซอสามสายให้ พร้อมจัดหาเครื่องมือช่าง ทั้งเครื่องกลึง เครื่องเจาะ เครื่องผ่า กบไฟฟ้า และสอนสัดส่วนทุกอย่างในการทำซอสามสายที่ท่านได้ถอดแบบของซอสามสายโบราณที่เก็บรักษาไว้ในพระบรมมหาราชวัง ครูบุญรัตน์ก็ได้ต้นแบบในการทำซอสามสายตั้งแต่นั้นเป็นต้นมา การอนุรักษ์และส่งต่อความรู้นั้นผมได้สอนการทำซอสามสายให้กับลูกหลาน และผู้ที่สนใจเข้ามาเรียน ปัจจุบันคนเล่นดนตรีมีเยอะ แต่คนทำเครื่องดนตรีมีน้อย เราน่าจะให้ความสำคัญกับคนทำเครื่องดนตรีด้วย เพราะผมไม่อยากให้เครื่องดนตรีไทยสูญหายไปจากสังคมไทย

The Teacher has worked with Ajarn Phawas who is the expert on almost any type of Thai musical instruments. He was transferred the knowledge in making the three-stringed fiddles as well as sourcing the tools in lathing, drilling, cutting machines, electric planer, and also teaching everything in the proportion of three-stringed fiddles that has imitated from the ancient three-stringed fiddle conserved in the Royal Palace. Teacher Boonyarat has received the master in making the three-stringed fiddles ever since. In conserving and transferring the knowledge, I have taught how to make three-stringed fiddles to the descendants and those who are interested in learning. Currently, there are a lot of people playing music but only a few can produce the musical instruments. Therefore, we should pay attention to people who make the musical instruments as well because I do not want the musical instruments to be lost from Thai society.
