ผมได้แรงบันดาลใจในการแกะสลักไม้สามมิติมาจากจิตรกรรมตามวัด วัดสุทัศน์เทพวรารามราชวรมหาวิหาร วัดพระศรีรัตนศาสดาราม และฝึกวาดกับสมุดภาพของอาจารย์เฉลิมชัย โฆษิตพิพัฒน์ จนชำนาญ มีผู้มาจ้างผมแกะสลักไม้มากมาย ส่วนใหญ่เขาจะนำไม้มงคลมาให้แกะ ลายที่นิยมแกะก็จะเป็น ลายช้างป่า ลายในวรรณคดี เช่น รามเกียรติ์ ลายดอกกุหลาบพันปี ลายเมือง ลายไทย ลายพระเวสสันดร ผมสามารถแกะได้ทุกลายถ้ามีแบบ ผมอยากให้มีคนมาสนใจงานตรงนี้เยอะๆ ผมยินดีสอนให้ เพราะงานตรงนี้ให้อะไรกับเราหลายอย่างไม่ใช่แค่งานแกะสลัก ผมได้เปิดศูนย์การเรียนรู้ให้คนที่สนใจเข้ามาศึกษาเพื่อคงไว้ซึ่งภูมิปัญญาไม่ให้สูญหายไปตามกาลเวลา

“Three-dimensional pattern on the wood tell the stories of Thai culture and imagine conveyed from the heart of the carvers"

I am inspired to three-dimensionally carve the wood by the paintings in the temples; Wat Suthatthepwararam, Temple of the Emerald Buddha, and from practicing drawing with the picture book of Ajarn Chalermchai Kositpipat until being proficient. I am hired to do a lot of wood carving. Most of them bring the auspicious wood to be carved and the popular patterns are wild elephant pattern and patterns in literature such as the Ramayana, thousand-year rose pattern, city pattern, Thai pattern, and Vessantara pattern. I can carve any pattern if having models. I want a lot of people to be interested in the works. I am willing to teach as this work gives me a lot of things not just for carving. I have also opened a learning center for the interested people to study to maintain the wisdom not to lose by time.
