ครูผู้ทุ่มเทแรงกายแรงใจในการรังสรรค์ผ้าทอยกดอกลำพูนให้เป็นที่รู้จักอย่างกว้างขวาง โดยมุ่งหวังให้คนในชุมชนมีรายได้และร่วมกันอนุรักษ์และสืบทอดศิลปะการทอผ้าลวดลายโบราณที่เป็นเอกลักษณ์ เป็นผ้าไหมที่ทอยกดอกลวดลายให้สูงกว่าผืนผ้ายกบางเส้น ข่มบางเส้น เกิดลวดลาย มีความนูนเด่นเมื่อสัมผัส และอ่อนช้อยสวยงาม กลายเป็นเอกลักษณ์ประจำท้องถิ่น จน “ผ้าไหมยกดอกลำพูน” ได้รับการขึ้นทะเบียนเป็นสิ่งบ่งชี้ทางภูมิศาสตร์หรือสินค้า GI (Geographical Indication) เมื่อปี 2550

“The reviver of Yok Dok Fabric of Lamphun with the true spirit of teacher, for the sustainable community.”

Preechakiat has devoted himself to creating pha yok dok Lamphun (hand-woven brocade silk in traditional-Lanna designs) and making them more widely known. His dearest wish is to see community members earning a decent income and working with him to preserve the art of distinctive, ancient-style hand weaving. The brocade silk is woven in such a way as to create embossed patterns with intricate and elegant designs in line with the local identity. In addition, pha yok dok Lamphun was registered as a Geographical indication (GI) product in 2007.
