ความงดงามอ่อนช้อนของเทียนพรรษาเมืองอุบล เป็นที่ตื่นตาตื่นใจของผู้ที่ได้พบเห็น คือแรงบันดาลใจให้ครูได้สร้างสรรค์งานเทียนพรรษาอันงามวิจิตรขึ้นมา ในการรักษาประเพณีการฟั่นเทียนนำไปถวายวัดในช่วงเทศกาลเข้าพรรษา แต่ละซุ้มจะมีการออกแบบตกแต่งต้นเทียน เพื่อประชันความงามโดยการติดพิมพ์บนต้นเทียน การรักษาช่องไฟของลวดลายให้เสมอกัน และมีความต่อเนื่องของลายที่บ่งบอกถึงฝีมือช่าง ความพิถีพิถันในการแกะสลัก สะท้อนถึงแนวคิดการสร้างสรรค์ การอนุรักษ์งานหัตถศิลป์ ควบคู่กับประเพณีพื้นถิ่นสืบไป

Ubon Ratchathani’s delicate large candles always amaze people. It inspired me to never stop creating wonderful candles to maintain the ceremony of offering the candles to the temples during the Buddhist Lent period. Each group of candle makers will compete to design and decorate their candles. The organized and continuous patterns reflect the craftsmen’s skills, meticulousness and creativity.
