ท่านเป็น “ช่างชั้นครู” ของเมืองเพชรบุรีผู้มีความรักงานด้านศิลปะสืบช่วงมาจากบรรพบุรุษ จากนั้นได้ฝึกฝนด้านศิลปะ เผยแพร่ออกแบบ สร้างสรรค์ และงานอนุรักษ์จนมีความสามารถสูงเด่น ถึงขั้นออกแบบมณฑปจัตุรมุขศาลา วิหาร และพลับพลาได้อย่างโดดเด่นงานสะดุดตาด้วยลายไทยที่พลิ้วไหวเหมือนมีชีวิต ต่อมาครูได้หันมาสนใจศิลปะการแทงหยวก ซึ่งเป็นศิลปะพื้นบ้านที่หาดูได้ยากและเกือบจะสูญหายไปแล้วของเมืองเพชรบุรี ได้พยายามอนุรักษ์รูปแบบของงานแทงหยวกเพื่อการสืบทอดให้คงอยู่ โดยการประยุกต์ลวดลายขึ้นมาใหม่ แต่ยังคงรักษาเอกลักษณ์ที่สำคัญไว้ จนทำให้มีชื่อเสียงเป็นที่รู้จักของบุคคลทั่วไป (ครูถึงแก่กรรมแล้ว)

“There is only one tip for making good banana stalk pith carvings. It is my personal tip but I won’t keep it a secret. Anyone who wants to learn can get this tip.”

The master is a real “master craftsman” of Phetchaburi. He loves the art which was inherited from his ancestors. He kept practicing, designing, creating, and making great work until he became the master. He has designed cruciform halls, ordination halls and pavilions which are fantastically beautiful with Thai fine arts. Later, the master has been interested in banana stalk carving which is a rare local art of Phetchaburi. He has tried to conserve the ancient style as well as creating new patterns while maintaining key uniqueness. The master’s work became famous and accepted by the public.
