ชาวป่าโมกสมัยก่อนเมื่อว่างจากการทำนาก็หันมาทำกลองโดยได้รับการสืบทอดจากบรรพบุรุษมาจนถึงปัจจุบัน ในช่วงแรกที่เริ่มทำกลองเครื่องไม้เครื่องมือยังไม่พร้อมเท่าทุกวันนี้ต้องอาศัยแรงงานในชุมชนมาช่วยกันทำ ต่อมาได้มี นำประสบการณ์จากการทำงานมาปรับปรุงเครื่องไม้เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการผลิตกลองซึ่งช่วยทุ่นแรงและประหยัดเวลาในการผลิตมากขึ้น และหลังจากที่สมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารีทรงสนับสนุนและส่งเสริมให้มีการอนุรักษ์เครื่องดนตรีไทยทำให้ประชาชนตระหนักถึงความสำคัญของเครื่องดนตรีไทยมากขึ้นจึงเกิดการร่วมแรงร่วมใจของชุมชนเอกราชได้มีการจัดตั้งกลุ่มผู้ผลิตกลองชุมชนขึ้นเพื่อเป็นศูนย์กลางกระจายสินค้าไปยังลูกค้า

“Pa Mok is the land of drum sound to continue the wisdom of the ancestors.”

In the past, when being free from working in the rice field, Pa Mok people turned to make the drums by being transferred from their ancestors until now. In the earlier period of making drums, the instruments were not much available as at present. The community labor was required for making. Later, the experience in working was improved to make the instruments used in making drums to save the labor and time consumed in the production more. After Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn supported and promoted the conservation of Thai musical instruments, the people realize the importance of Thai musical instruments more. There is the cooperation of Ekkarat community in founding the group to produce the community drums as the center for distributing the products to the customers.
