ครูกุศลเห็นคุณแม่ทอผ้ามาตั้งแต่เด็ก จึงหัดทอทุกวันจนทอได้ คุณแม่เห็นว่าเป็นคนจริงจังจึงได้ถ่ายทอดวิธีการทอผ้าทุกอย่างให้ทั้งผ้าทอแบบธรรมดาและผ้าทอลายดอกต่างๆ จนสามารถทอได้อย่างชำนาญทุกลาย จากลายพื้นฐาน เช่น ลายลูกแก้ว ลายลูกแก้วชิงดวง ลายลูกแก้วโข่ง ลายลูกแก้วสี่เม็ด ลายตาสมุก(ลายเกล็ดเต่า) จนมาคิดต่อยอดออกแบบลวดลายเอง คือ ลายลูกแก้วย่าน ลายลูกโซ่ และลายหมากรุกย่าน ครูยังได้ทดลองย้อมสีผ้าจากสีธรรมชาติ เช่น จากเปลือกเงาะ ใบมะม่วงหิมพานต์ เปลือกสะตอ กระถิน ต้นยอ การถ่ายทอดความรู้ผ้าทอนาหมื่นศรีนั้นได้ถูกนำเข้าสู่การศึกษาในระบบ โดยโรงเรียนในท้องถิ่นได้เห็นความสำคัญและบรรจุหลักสูตรการทอผ้านาหมื่นศรีไว้เพื่อเป็นการสืบทอดภูมิปัญญาด้านนี้ให้คงอยู่สืบไป

“I have used ancient patterns to create new patterns and used plants around me to color Nameunsri textile in my style.”

Master Kusala has seen her mother weaving since she was young, so she has practiced doing it herself. Her mother saw that Master Kulasa was serious about weaving, so she had transferred the methods and techniques of normal and floral patterned textile to her until she has become an expert on any patterns of woven textile including basic patterns like Lookkaew, Lookkaew Chingduang, Looklaew Khong, Lookkaew Seemed, andTa Samook (Kledtao). Then, the master started to create her own patterns such as Lookkaew Yan, Lookso and Markrook Yan. In addition, she has tried coloring the textile with natural colors extracted from rambutan skins, cashew nut leaves, bitter bean skins, white popinac, and great morinda. The knowledge of Nameunsri woven textile has been added to formal education as the local schools have realized its importance of this wisdom conservation.
