งานเครื่องทองของครูจะเป็นงานต่อยอดมาจากงานทองโบราณ จนมีชื่อว่าเป็นงานโบราณประยุกต์ เช่น แหวนพิรอดลงยา ที่ได้รับความนิยมเป็นอย่างมาก แรงบันดาลใจนั้นเริ่มจากการได้หยิบจับเครื่องทองโบราณฝีมือช่างเพชรบุรี อันเป็นของบรรพบุรุษที่ลูกค้านำมาซ่อม เมื่อได้สัมผัสงานครูแล้วเกิดความรู้สึกผูกพันและทำให้อยากจะต่อยอดศิลปะนี้ให้สวยงามยิ่งขึ้น ทุกวันนี้ก็ได้ทำหน้าที่ในการส่งต่องานช่างทองเพชรบุรีให้แก่คนรุ่นหลัง โดยเป็นครูสอนให้กับวิทยาลัยกาญจนาภิเษก ช่างทองหลวง โดยวิทยาลัยจะส่งนักเรียนมาเรียนการทำทองแบบฉบับสกุลช่างเพชรบุรีแท้ๆ ถึงบ้านของครูทุกปี ปีละประมาณไม่เกินสี่คน ซึ่งจากตรงนี้หากผู้มารับการถ่ายทอดได้นำความรู้ไปใช้ รับรองว่าศิลปะเครื่องทองเมืองเพชรคงไม่สูญหายไปไหนอย่างแน่นอน

“Pirod ring is regarded as the signature of Petchaburi goldsmiths, but lacquered Pirod ring is the master’s signature.”

My goldware is developed from ancient goldware as you can call it adapted ancient goldware. The most famous work is lacquered Pirod ring. My inspiration started when I had a chance to touch ancient goldware made by Petchaburi goldsmiths which a customer of mine brought to me for repair. I felt impressed by that goldware and felt like developing it to make finer work. I have been working hard to hand over Petchaburi signature work to new generations by becoming a teacher at Kanchanapisek College, Royal Goldsmith, whereby the college students are sent to learn how to make Petchaburi goldware with me. Only 4 students are accepted each year. I hope that all of my students will develop their skills and help conserve Petchaburigoldware when they graduate from me.
