การทำถมนครมีขั้นตอนมากมายกว่าจะสำเร็จเป็นชิ้นงาน ยกตัวอย่างผมเองกว่าจะเป็นอาจารย์ในตอนนี้ ต้องขวนขวายหาความรู้ใส่ตัวอยู่ตลอด ได้ความรู้มาอย่างยากลำบาก เพราะช่างโบราณบางท่านจะไม่บอกสูตรการทำเครื่องถมให้กับลูกศิษย์ทั้งหมดโดยเฉพาะยาถมที่เป็นส่วนประกอบสำคัญ ต้องอาศัยครูพักลักจำ และทดลองด้วยตัวเอง แต่สำหรับผมจะสอนเด็กตั้งแต่เริ่มต้นทำจนกระทั่งเสร็จสิ้นเป็นชิ้นงานไม่มีปิดบัง ซึ่งจุดแข็งของนักเรียนที่เรียนจบไปแล้วนั้น เป็นเรื่องที่สำคัญมาก เนื่องจากรับประกันว่ามีงานทำแน่นอนทั้ง 100% แม้แต่ในขณะที่ยังไม่จบการศึกษาก็มีบริษัทเอกชนที่ทำธุรกิจด้านเครื่องประดับ มาจองตัวถึงสถาบันกันเลยทีเดียว

Making Nakorn nielloware requires many processes. Before became a master, I also need to learn many things and try to gain as much knowledge as possible ho matter how tough it is. The reason is that certain nielloware masters would not tell their techniques to everyone. Instead, they just give the formula of lacquering liquid. I had to learn myself and try it myself. But when I became a master, I will teach my students every single process from the start to the end so that they can use their knowledge for work. It seems that this art guarantees 100% opportunity to get a job. Some of my students get job offers from private companies making accessories while they are studying at my institution.
