งานเครื่องถมของเรานั้นไม่เหมือนใคร ไม่เหมือนของชาติอื่น มันเป็นหนึ่งเดียวของนครศรีธรรมราช และเป็นหนึ่งเดียวของศิลปหัตถกรรมที่มีคุณค่าสูงสุด ตรงนี้ที่ผมมองว่าเป็นเอกลักษณ์ แรงบันดาลใจในการสร้างงานของผมมาจากการกลัวว่างานเครื่องถมจะสูญหายและไม่ได้รับความนิยมจากผู้คนในยุคปัจจุบัน จึงพยายามใส่ความทันสมัย และเอาเครื่องถมเข้าไปอยู่ในชีวิตประจำวันของผู้คนให้ได้มากที่สุด และเพื่ออนุรักษ์งานเครื่องถมให้ยืนยาวต่อไป ผมก็ได้รับเชิญไปเป็นวิทยากรสอนให้กับสถาบันการศึกษาต่างๆ และเปิดสอนวิชาทำเครื่องถมให้แก่ผู้ที่สนใจใฝ่รู้ทั่วไปอีกด้วย
