การใช้คลุ้มมาจักสานเป็นเครื่องใช้ไม้สอย กระจาด กระบุง ตะกร้า ฝาชี จะมีเส้นที่สวยงามลวดลายละเอียดคงทนนี่คือเอกลักษณ์ของงานจักสานของครู แรงบันดาลใจของครูนั้นมาจากการที่ต้องการสืบทอดงานจักสานคลุ้มของบรรพบุรุษ ไม่ให้สูญหายไป และมีความภาคภูมิใจเป็นอย่างมากที่ได้นำองค์ความรู้นี้ไปถ่ายทอดให้กับเยาวชนคนรุ่นใหม่ แล้วเขานำไปต่อยอดพัฒนารูปแบบได้หลากหลาย ทำให้มั่นใจว่ามรดกทางศิลปหัตถกรรมที่ได้รับจากบรรพบุรุษจะไม่สูญหายไปอย่างแน่นอน

“Klum is generally regarded as a useless plant. I have adapted to make wickerwork, and it became a fine product just like those made of rattan and bamboo.”

Using Klum to make baskets, flat baskets and dish covers can result in beautiful patterned products. This kind of wickerwork became my uniqueness. I was inspired by the need of inheritance of Klum wickerwork from my ancestors to prevent it from disappearing. I am proud to share this knowledge to the young so that they can develop further products of their own. It is the way to assure that this handicraft will not be forgotten.
