ตัวผมเองเรียนรู้วิธีการปั้นมาตั้งแต่ยังเป็นเด็ก แล้วค่อยๆ สั่งสมความรู้แบบครูพักลักจำจากผู้เฒ่าผู้แก่ที่ยังเหลืออยู่ เครื่องไม้เครื่องมือที่ใช้ก็จะทำจากวัสดุที่หาง่ายคือ ไม้ไผ่ เช่น ไม้โค่ง สำหรับขูดผิวด้านในคนโท ไม้ฉาก ไว้เกลี่ยผิวด้านนอกให้เรียบ ไม้แหลม ใช้ตัดดิน แกะลาย ขูดผิวให้เรียบ และลูกลาย ใช้ทำลายบนคนโท ซึ่งมีทั้งลายตัวเมีย สร้อยดอกหมาก หยดน้ำ บุษบา ฯลฯ อุปกรณ์ที่ใช้อยู่ในปัจจุบันล้วนเป็นของตกทอดมาจากคนรุ่นเก่า เช่น แผ่นจานสำหรับขึ้นรูปที่เรียกว่า "ใบเลี่ยน" ที่ยังใช้แรงมือหมุน

I start how to form since I was a child and I try to accumulate the knowledge by myself from the elderly. The instrument are used from easily-found materials such as bamboo, wood for rubbing the internal surface of the ewer, square for leveling the external surface, sharp sticks for cut the soil, make pattern, smoothen the surface, and the Luk Lai for making the pattern on the jug. The patterns are Tua Mia, Soi Dok Mak, Yot Nam, Bussaba, etc. The equipment used nowadays is all transferred from the ancestors such as plate for forming called “Bai Lian” spun manually.
