การทอผ้าย้อมสีธรรมชาติบ้านพันนา(ผ้าย้อมคราม) ตำบลพันนา อำเภอสว่างแดนดิน จังหวัดสกลนคร ได้นำแนวคิด หลักการ และภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่นที่มีมาแต่โบราณในการคิดค้นผลิตภัณฑ์ โดยการรวมกลุ่มกันของสตรีที่ต้องการใช้เวลาว่างให้เกิดประโยชน์อย่างแท้จริง ต้นครามที่ผ่านกระบวนการสกัดสีธรรมชาติและย้อมผ้าฝ้ายแล้ว มีคุณสมบัติพิเศษในการป้องกันแสงอุลตร้าไวโอเลตได้เป็นอย่างดีตามความรู้และสืบทอดจากคนรุ่นก่อน ซึ่งผ่านการทดสอบมาแล้วว่า ผ้าที่ย้อมด้วยครามจะป้องกันแสงแดดได้นานและรักษาผิวใต้ร่มผ้าไม่ให้แสงแดดทำลาย นอกจากนั้นยังเป็นตัวยาสำคัญในการรักษาโรคผิวหนัง เป็นกระสายหรือตัวนำยาสมุนไพรไทยให้แทรกซึมผ่านทางผิวหนังได้เป็นอย่างดี

Ban Phan Na natural-color dyed cloth weaving(cloth dyed with indigo), Phan Na Sub-district, SawangDaen DinDistrict, SakonNakhonProvince, uses the idea, principles, and local wisdom since the past in inventing the products. The women are gathered in group. They would like to spend their leisure time really usefully. The indigo trees passing the process of extracting the natural color and dyed have the special properties in preventing the UV well following the knowledge transferred from the old generations and being tested that the cloth dyed with indigo will prevent the light longer and will protect the skin from being damaged by the sunlight. Moreover, it will be the main treatment for curing the skin disease. It can also be theenhancing substance or Thai herbal solvent to penetrate the skin well.
